Composition and Members

The Board of Directors, chaired by the Head of Government or the government authority delegated by him for this purpose, is composed of:

1. the government authority in charge of higher education and scientific research, or their representative;
2. the government authority in charge of finance, or their representative;
3. the President of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research, or their representative;
4. the Permanent Secretary of the Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Technology, or their representative;
5. the Director of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research, or their representative;
6. the Director of the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills, or their representative;
7. the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, or their representative;
8. one representative of the sectoral higher education institutions;
9. one representative of private higher education institutions;
10. four research professors;
11. one representative elected by and from among the Agency’s staff.

A decree sets the procedures for appointing and electing the members referred to in items 8, 9, 10 and 11, as well as the length of their terms.

The Chair of the Board may invite to the Board’s meetings, in an advisory capacity, any natural or legal person from the public or private sector whose presence is deemed useful, whenever necessary.
