The Board of Directors of the National Agency for the Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education and Scientific Research (ANEAQ) held a meeting remotely via videoconference on Tuesday, 15 December 2020, at 3:00 p.m. The meeting was chaired by Mr Driss Ouaouicha, Minister Delegate in charge of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Board members and a number of invited guests.
At the beginning of his address, the Minister welcomed the members of the Agency’s Board of Directors, particularly the two new members: Mr Amine Bensaid, President of Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, and Mr Mohamed Briouig, Director of the Higher Institute of Maritime Studies. They replaced Ms Nadia Ben Chadmia, Director of Wana Corporate, and Mr Mohamed Abdelfattah Cherif Echchefchaouni, former Director of the National Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (INPT). The Minister warmly thanked the outgoing members for their outstanding contributions to the Board’s work.
The Minister praised the efforts made by ANEAQ and the remarkable progress it had achieved in implementing the institutional evaluation project, which had been launched that year. He also highlighted the Agency’s role in supporting Morocco’s higher education and scientific research system, with the aim of promoting continuous improvement.
He further commended the richness and diversity of the agenda, which included the following items:
– Welcoming the two new members of the Board;
– Approval of the minutes of the meeting held on 13 January 2020;
– Presentation of the results of the evaluation of training programmes for the 2020 cohort;
– Presentation of the results of the institutional evaluation;
– Presentation of the results of the first year of the Agency’s 2020–2024 strategic plan;
– Draft budget for 2021;
– Draft 2021–2023 multi-year national action plan for the implementation of Framework Law No. 51.17;
– Any other business.
